5 September: Committee Meeting.
Main topics were the Loo Opening on 18 September, and preparations for the Club's Annual General Meeting on 19 September,
including approval of the Rule changes that were needed to regularise the appointment of Tustees to hold the lease for the
19 September: Annual General Meeting in the Melland Room.
Twenty members attended. In addition to the usual business of the AGM, the Members voted to adopt the
amended Rules that had been proposed by the Committee.
The appointment of the Trustees was ratified.
The retiring President, Officers and other Committee members were all re-elected.
Honorary Life Membership was accorded to Godfrey Nehring in recognition of his past services to the Club,
notably as Lawns Manager during and following the construction of our present courts in 2003.
After the formal business was concluded, the President presented the Founder's Cup to Nick Butler, this year's
winner, and the traditional wines, cheeses and puddings were tackled with customary enthusiasm.
17 October: Committee Meeting.
The final meeting of the calendar year reviewed the AGM, and assigned duties to the various Committee
members for the year ahead, as well as checking that we had club members willing to take on the other
necessary tasks. The winter programme was agreed.
